CLEAR: Representative Manager of Quality Assurance, UIN Maliki Malang, Muhtadi Ridwan, when he is delivering speech on SMM (Quality Management System) ISO 9001:2008.

GEMA- Ditpendis Kemenag has Comparative Study on SMM ISO 9001:2008 at UIN Maliki Malang yesterday (September 16th).

Located at the room of Education Quality Assurance Agency (LPMP), the comparative study is attended directly by the representative manager of quality insurance of UIN Maliki Malang, Muhtadi Ridwan who also acts as the presenter that day as well as the Rector of UIN Maliki Malang, Imam Suprayogo, the chief of LPMP, UIN Maliki Malang, Sugeng Listyo Prabowo along with the expert staffs of LPMP, UIN Maliki Malang, Rosihan Slihuddin.

Ditpendis Kemenag at this time wants to study on how about the implementation of quality management of ISO 9001:2008 at UIN Maliki Malang, since the campus of "Ulul Albab" (the thinkers) is the only university in Malang which is successful in holding the implementation of quality assurance of 9001:2008.

"UIN Maliki Malang is the only university which succeeds in implementing the quality assurance of ISO 9001:2008, and even Brawijaya University (UB) of Malang is not as good as UIN Maliki Malang, and UB is still building it," said Muhtadi Ridwan.

International organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 is an International standard for quality management system. ISO 9001:2008 establishes requirements and recommendation for design and assessment from a quality management system.

ISO 9001:2008 is not a product standard because not stating requirements that must be met by a product (goods or service). ISO 9001:2008 is merely a qualified management system standard, however, it is expected that the product created from a system of International quality management will have good quality, corresponding to the standard.
